About Wild Bird Society of Japan

Established in 1934, Wild Bird Society of Japan is a public interest incorporated foundation that now has over 51,000 members, including financial supporters, and 89 chapters throughout Japan. Its purpose is to protect wild birds and their habitat, to encourage more people to enjoy bird watching, and to carry on research concerning the status and habitat of wild birds.
